Dear dr. Brown :

Enclosed are copies of material forwarded to me by Ambassador Codat relative to my original efforts on behalf of Boubou Hama in the area of collecting and recording historical data. You will note that President Boubou’s letter to the Ambassador was went before my own letter of June 10th to Mr. Baulin announcing the contact with you and briefly delineating your experience and areas of competence and interest in oral data in Niger. As result the President’s letter is a rather general request for aid not related to the specific role you might play.

I for this specific reply and count on your own advice in any further correspondance with Niger.
